The Secret Diary of Steve Jobs: Why the mainstream media is dying

I will be the first to admit that the blogisphere is not always the best place to get your news. There are plenty of examples which I don’t have time to detail here where the blogisphere has got it wrong but I think you will agree if you read the posting below that in this particular case Techcrunch got it right. Daniel Lyons aka Fake Steve makes some very good points about the challenges traditional journalism faces in the new world of online publishing. I personally find that more and more the technology news pushed out by traditional outlets like the New York Times and Wall Street Journal is simply old hat. In a way the NYT’s has acknowledged this by running blog RSS feeds on their Technology page as has the WSJ. Read the article and let me know what you think.
